HOLD UP! PAUSE! WHOA THERE!

I'm in one of those moods where I just want to improve everything. Including my LJ. If I could go back and erase things, I would. But I'm not. It's all important. So from now on, I'm going to be a better friend on here! I'm going to post more. And respond more! It's a new and improved me! I think I'm actually going to friend more communities. WRITING communities! I feel fantastic right now, and I haven't the foggiest as to why. I swear, I'm not on anti-depressants either. Carry on with your lives.

Mmm... cake.

What is your dream job? Do you think you'll ever have it?

My dream job is to not have to work :-p

While this proves to not feasible (ish), I have come up with a better solution. I want to be an archaeologist. Why? Because about 10 years ago, when I was a wee lass, I saw for the first time, Indiana Jones. I was hooked ever since. And even though I know it won't be like that at all, I still pursue that career field.

I don't know what exactly appeals to me about that career (okay, I do, I wanna dig in the dirt...), it's hard to know whether or not I will ever have it. I plan on attending a school next fall that has that as a major, but if it's something I can actually -have- a job with is questionable. The job field itself is very small, and there are numerous people who pursue this path. Most will end up professors.

I have come to the conclusion that I will ultimately major in History (as to work in a museum, hopefully the Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C.), and minor in Archaeology just in case the situation arises that I can actually become a full blown archaeologist.

At this point in time, I need at least four more years of schooling to get my Master's, so if all goes well, May 2014 I will have a Masters degree in either History or preferably, Archaeology. So here's hoping! :)

Oh, actually, thanks to Top Gear (and even before I saw the show) I want to be a stunt driver. I have a need for speed and making pretty cars look prettier as they drive along slick and curvy mountain roads. I think it's mainly the speed though.

I intend on marrying a lawyer. Mm-hmm. True story. Urs has met him and likes him, which is a good thing. However, I'm going to allow us to date for a couple more months before I inform him of my future plans and I hope he goes along with it. Mule-headed people just make things entirely too difficult.

Oh, he is studying International Law and loves to travel. Is there any doubt as to why I like him?

Writer's Block: Theme Dining

If you were to open your own theme restaurant, what would the theme be and how would you express it to the customers?

My theme, of course, would be the Beatles. Aside from the decorations (Table top with the Beatles emblem from Ringo's drums, rooms designed like the various places they played (the tavern where it all began), etc) the food would be themed too - the most obvious: Octopus' Garden - a seafood salad (not made with real octopus).

From Dr. Polidori's Lord Ruthven to Stephenie Meyer's Edward Cullen, the annals of vampire lore are filled with attractive, charming bloodsuckers. Which one would you most want to be bitten by?

The vampire LeStat of course. :)

Who wouldn't want to?

It's the first day of the month. If you could have one wish come true this month, what would it be?

That with the situation at hand, God puts the right two people together, and that there will be no difference among the people. Just still be how everything was before what happened.

Out of all of your favorite books, pick just one you'd recommend everyone read. As a bonus: why did you pick that one?

My favorite book: To Kill A Mockingbird. Everyone HAS to read this book. It's amazing. I don't know why I like it so much. But it's an eye opener to how life was, and is. We'll always take the side of what seems good, and not what's right.

I picked it because I can read it multiple times and not tire of it.

Another favorite is James and the Giant Peach. Why? Because it's a classic. Who doesn't love giant fruit and talking bugs?
